Changing America
The infamous president, John F. Kennedy, had been legendary for his well-known determination and dreadful assassination. He was voted as not only the first Catholic, but the first Irish-American president. His relation to Irish immigrants proved to Americans that the Irish love America too, enough to even be the president.
Today, although immigration is still a controversial topic, such prejudice is not tolerated and immigrants are looked to as human beings, no matter what country they may come from.
